Is it possible to record a class without any students?

Hi - I wanted to know if it's possible to record some 'basic' information for students (more like rapid e-learning), without having any students in the actual WiZiQ 'classroom'.

Hi,
Yes we can record our classes without students. I have experimented recording one hour Theory sessions and they work well.
The good news is that the recorded class can be forwarded to students eliminating your live presence in the class.
Time to explore this option too!

The only issue I have found with recording classes solo is that there seems to be a problem when the class is too short. One should keep the class running for at least 15 minutes, but WIZIQ can answer you more completely:

The recording feature tends to have differing results based on the number of functions one uses during a given class. The new VC (virtual classroom) should be introduced within a month. Hopefully this will be a more stable environment for recorded classes.

I think the main consideration one would evaluate when planning fro recorded sessions is, "what is my main product?". The class dynamics and contingencies are very different for a recorded viewer vs "real time" viewer. I doubt it will ever be optimum for both as expectations and experiences are so different.

PS I just looked at your uploaded tutorial, nice... clean
You may want to look at this new presentation tool that we have just discovered:
www.prezi.com

Unfortunately, it is not friendly in any virtual classroom yet but you could certainly use it in desktop sharing mode.

PPS some of these issues have been discussed during the individual tutorials listed here:
