My Wonderful Experience with Moodle for Teachers and WiZiQ, From A Learner's Perspective...Me

Last month, I began taking a course called "Moodle for Teachers". After joining the four week session, I had no knowledge of Moodle. What I loved about this course was the wonderful resources we had available. All types of videos, links, and a few written steps were provided. The key thing that helped me was the reminder of playing around and practicing inside Moodle. What made this class so beneficial for me was being proactive. Most educators want students to take charge of their learning by being proactive not wanting to be hand-held every step of the way.

By rising to the challenge, I was able to import videos and other sources inside the Moodle platform. I cannot say I am a Pro with Moodle, but I am more confident than before.

Where does WiZiQ fit in? Toward the end of each week, the learners would participate in a live WiZiQ session in Moodle. I was really excited since I have had an opportunity to host a few sessions prior to the course. My determination paid off, and I will be receiving my certificate in Moodle. What an accomplishment!!!

In addition, I got an opportunity to meet other wonderful educators from around the globe. Other educators have been so helpful and amazing in sharing their knowledge regarding Web 2.0 tools and the use of unique features in Skype.

A special thanks to all the facilitators at Integrating Technology!!! Truly, I thank WiZiQ for making it possible to meet such an amazing group people.

Jeanine,

I totally missed this post from you. Thanks for sharing your experience here. I believe the course was offered by Nellie and think she should see your post here.
As for WiZiQ and Moodle, we have a separate plug-in of our virtual classroom that works specifically with Moodle. I think Moodle needs a synchronous teaching tool that WiZiQ has to offer.

How do I get started using wiziq on my moodle course? please email matingaragatz@gmail.com or skype: goldenlinkk
Thank you for sharing your experiences with Moodle for Teachers (M4T) and WiZiQ. WiziQ is a very important part of what we do at IT4ALL. All of the workshops use a Blended Online Learning fortmat where we combine (asynchronous) e-learning on Moodle with WiZiQ for the live (synchronous) online meetings. WiZiQ and Moodle work seamlessly.
