All about YOU - Be it Resume or CV or Biodata or Profile

by Rtn.Surya Narayana SV Director www.editin.com
Posted on 13 January, 2010

We come accross and use the words Resume, CV, Biodata and Profile interchangeably for a document highlighting skills, education, experience and talents to make others known about us. Though they mean almost the same, there is a fine distinction. The documents are named as per the purpose for which they are used.

Hi Surya,
I don't think we've met before, but I'm happy to see you contribute here. First you should know that I am one of those brash Americans so please don't assume that I represent the normal people at WIZIQ. Secondly you should know that I only tease and challenge the people I respect and think worthy of discourse.

All about you comments
1 OK, nice informational blurb (small piece of data) but what kind of response are you looking for? Are you posing a question? Or soliciting some kind of reaction?

2. I bit, and visited the blog site. More information (almost a budding wikipedia author) which is fine. But I want to know YOU and YOUR opinion. What do you think/feel and once I know that I can react with my thought.

3. How is that pertinent to this community?

OK, I had a shitty (bad) day and you just happened to be the poor guy that I found to take it out on. I told you I was a brash American, didn't I? I think that you are obviously knowledgeable. But I want a relationship here and maybe one day in your classroom...

Truthfully I don't trust authority figures in general, but I am particularly distrustful of teachers. The only bridge I have to accept and embrace the knowledge of another is via relationship or the evidence of wisdom.

I wish to honor you, sir for offering your time and knowledge, but I and many of your potential students demand a little more. A little more of you. Please accept my challenge, Noble Purveyor of knowledge and meet me on the field of community. I will expose as much of my knowledge and experience (and possibly wisdom) as you do the same.

If I seem foolish and boorish, that is OK for you to say also. I will leave the field of knowledge alone to you. But, if it is the field of ideas and passions that you can speak to, then come meet with me and we will become jolly combatants and comrades in the cause of wisdom which is to be desired above knowledge, or so I am told ;-)

PS I am so full of BS (bull deification) that sometimes I surprise even myself. Hope you are a good sport and enjoyed it.

And you sir, are the eternal encourager. I pray that God continues to keep you here with us. Plus you are a connoisseur of unique intellects ;-)

Here is an interesting phenomenon (experience out of the ordinary). I have received three messages relating opinions about this topic but none are posted here!

I don't understand why good, smart and passionate people refuse to participate in these discussions. If it is due to my confrontive style, I would rather bow out of this community rather than see it die for lack of active participation.
