Courses on WiZiQ

Everyone, we recently launched the course feature on WiZiQ but haven't really promoted it much - except a notification to our premium members. Here's the link to the feature page:
http://www.wiziq.com/sell-courses-earn-money
As we all know, a course is something that a student is more likely to buy than a one-off class or a video tutorial. A course can deliver a "larger" learning objective than other 'learning objects' out there. If you notice, the page only talks about asynchronous courses. But we are adding the ability to add live classes in courses too - by next week. Here are a few courses that teachers have set up so far:
1. http://www.wiziq.com/course/4-integrating-technology-into-classroom-via-webquests
2. http://www.wiziq.com/course/5-learn-english-9-basic-steps
3. http://www.wiziq.com/course/6-how-prepare-good-cv-resume
4. http://www.wiziq.com/course/7-class12-cbse-maths-relations-and-functions
We plan to extend this feature further depending upon how you use it. But now you have this feature at least to set up a course with a bunch of classes, have your students enroll in the course - automatically adding those students in each class. I would really appreciate your feedback on this. And if you like to create a course too, please e-mail us at support.

George,

Just to understand, what does your requirement look like:

1. You want to set up a class recurring say once a week, same title, description etc. And you want to invite the same set of attendees in it or different set.
2. You want to set up a series of classes say 3 PM, Tuesday of every week with the same set of attendees but its not the same topic but a series of topics, one for each class.

I am asking this because both the above scenarios are different for us.

We are building WiZiQ so you, as the teacher will be able to do all operations on your own content such as deleting a class, changing time etc. You will in fact see that in a week or two.
Regarding the recurring class scheduling, I am not sure if you have seen how it works in MS Outlook Calendar or Google Calendar. We are planning to bring it that way. Would that work?

Andrea, thanks for your comments. We are in fact working to see if we can bring the "no-sign" feature on WiZiQ (for premium members). We will announce it on our blog as soon as we do.

Harman, do you have a WiZiQ class on WiZiQ courses? Or are there plans for on in the future? I'd be interested in one.

I wasn't aware of this new feature...it sounds great. Will definitely check it out! Is this something that will be accessible from the main page?

Harman!
WiZiQ is a good provider, your colleague assisted me a couple of time, they are efficient and good.
WiZiQ is on the right truck, the shareholder will make a fortune.

Please take this suggestion positively...
Based on my experience my one cents worth comments....
Simplify the log in for interested participant to see what is available and do not require registration.... this especially until your Company do NOT provide the data base of visitors at list to the professional teacher " premium members".
Keep going you are on the right truck.

INNOVATE NOT IMITATE
copy THE THREE WORD ONLY into Google search browser to know me better.

Please do note that I used the word " truck " purposely, it is not a typing mistake of an Italian. I did not like to use " track " = follow a path.
Thanks
Andrea

I am particularly interested in the ability to set up a continuously occuring class. This would save alot of time and bother. e.g. "My ESL Friends" and "Young Turks ESL Cafe". They repeat weekly and threetimes weekly. Their description and particulars do not. I hope this new feature allows for more efficiencies in setting up classes.

Thanks harman and team wiziq

@Harman
Every Tuesday for the next year, I will offer a class for practicing English. The particulars of what we practice is not important. The invited set would be the same. Both publicly (come who may) and privately.

Now, let's say we've set that up but a something happens to me. I would like to go in to that set and remove just one class. I know that I could contact support but it would be nice if I could do it myself.

Currently only content and test can be added to the courses, but going forward you will have option of adding classes as a part of course as well.
