How to get Serious Learning Students to Online Learning...?

Are there "Premium Members" who do get serious students who pay and attend class at WizIQ? because I have observed that there are 6-10 students come in - passively be there was some time and log out?

So does is there any particular method where in only a target group - serious students are there and then can have an actual interactive discussion on the subject..!!

Any suggestion...!!

You are right about what Vikram mentioned. The big difference between face to face and online teaching is that :
1. your presentation,
2. subject matter and
3. manner of presentation has to be so attractive, interactive and different that student is bound to stick to you and as we are involving them in class either through microphone or giving control of writting, they just don't want to miss anything and feel great to be part of the online class, rather write emails that when will be the next session, even if it is public one. So Shabbar! in face to face we may collect all sorts to students but in online classes, believe me only those pay and join you who have real buisness to get best out of you either from this side or that side of the globe. Good luck to all of you.

I think all teachers who wish to attract students should do some research on branding. We could find out examples of how people and companies have reaped the benefits of branding.

For instance, a company I know of, did relentless branding of themselves as an ideal place to work in, and now have been able to recruit from all premier engineering and management colleges in India - leaving most traditional recruiters behind. Some things which come to mind are:

1. Brands are not created overnight.
2. Branding is an ongoing, consistent, without break exercise.
3. Branding involves positioning your value statements to your audience.

This year, I have got some interesting leads via my blog [I have been updating it for almost 4 years now], LinkedIn profile [my network is 400 plus and profile has been around for 6 years now] and WiZiQ [I spend time updating my profile and have done some activity which is now probably giving me some SEO benefits]. If I strengthen this, I am sure, this will give me even more benefits.

Thanks

@ Shabbar
Please look at this discussion thread:
http://e-teaching.wiziq.com/topic/196-can-anyone-make-a-living-on-wiziq
or clcik on the discussion tabs (above) and look for the topic "Can anyone make a living..."

You have entered an alternative universe here at WIZIQ that resembles more of the "wild west" frontier. The "learning community" is still more caotic than I would like to admit, but this new frontier has such great potential that we (me anyway) can promise that if you don't get too frustrated, stake your claim and help us figure this thing out, we stand to gain greatly.

Let me know if I can help you sort out the "lay of the land".

PS Sorry I assumed that you were new at WIZIQ and now I see that you are an old hand. I think you have great blog's also.

I would note that I saw no reference to your activities or pertinent embedded WIZIQ classes that might appeal to your audience. (but I am sure that older posts would have revealed some). May I suggest that all of us should continue to engage in the internet as we have always done (like your blogs and youtube content) but, add a few referrals about content that you or a fellow wiziqer creates.

We are still in the stage of building a critical mass. Truthfully we could go viral any day. We simply must be patient and do our individual parts. I look forward to visiting one of your classes soon. I also hope that my reply does not sound to trite. You are obviously a serious player in the online learning frontier.

Mr.Vikram Dhiman's suggestion is quite enlightening.Nowadays brand is the key-player whatever may be the thing: from T-shirt to Teacher!
