re: WiZiQ Wave

If anyone's interested in creating a WiZiQ Wave (Google Wave) and/or conducting a WiZiQ class on Google Wave, I'd be all for it. I think it would be especially interesting if we created a WiZiQ Wave with the tech. people at WiZiQ, teachers, and students in an effort to improve the service.

If someone already has a WiZiQ Wave, I'd like to join (bnleez at gmail dot com).

Hi Benjamin,

Had never heard of it before, but -after browsing about it- seems to be a very interesting tool. I would like to start a WIZIQ wave then, maybe you could suggest in which way could we all collaborate.

Best wishes,

Pablo

Once you get a Google Wave invite, send me your gmail accounts and I'll share the wave I've created for WiZiQ. Unfortunately, I'm unable to send invites at this time.

I own a GWave account but I can't sent invites Jet. Pablo, I will let you know as soon as I can. I may also send other invites to other people if you want.

Hello,
It is definitely a good idea. I'm in. Paula please invite me as well when you can.
Benjamin, maybe we should start gathering suggestions on what the wave should offer in the meantime. Your thoughts?

This is great! In fact, I have been waiting for my invite from Google for more than a month now :(
Please invite me if you can: harman-at-wiziq-dot-com.

Thanks in advance.

Could everyone who is interested in participating in our Google Wave, please forward me your gmail accounts to the following address: bnleez@gmail.com

Once people begin to get invites, we can gradually build our own Wave.

@Kareem, good idea. We can brainstorm here in this thread, so feel free to share your thoughts.

First impressions of Google Wave: broad topics with a lot of individuals can quickly lead to chaos...chaos in the sense of having a ton of blips to follow containing a variety of themes.

My suggestion at this point is to create a Wave for each technical improvement or related improvements that WiZiQ is working on at any particular moment. For example, we create a Wave for desktop sharing. Techies, teachers, trainers, etc. who are interested would work within this one Wave in an effort to see this improve through to the end. That way, discussions would stick to only this one improvement. If improvements are simpler, less involved, perhaps related improvements could be lumped together within a single Wave as well. But I think WiZiQ would be in a better position to determine how to prioritize and lump new tech. developments together or separately in this fashion.

Since we don't really know how long it's going to take before we all get our invites (hopefully not too long), it might be premature to be thinking specifically on which improvements to list out at this point. What we can do is to continue communicating and adding all those who are interested into a general WiZiQ Wave to get started so that we learn how the Wave works. I´m sure it will take no time for WiZiQ to break down their future improvement plans into manageable chunks that can be brought into Waves in order for all of us to collaborate on.

At this point, if anyone is interested in participating in a WiZiQ Wave, let me know once you have received an invite and we will gradually bring in new people to a Wave that I've created. I have a Wave account but unfortunately am unable to invite others to join.

To get an idea about what Google Wave is, checkout YouTube...there are many videos on what it can or is supposed to do.

When I started this thread, I was more curious as to whether there was an interested in creating a WiZiQ Wave and there appears there is. So once more people have access to Wave, then we can get more into the specifics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6pgxLaDdQw checkout this small video to get the overview of Wave. You might need gmail account to get into Wave it seems.

To get a free gmail account (shich gets you almost any google application
use this link.

PS, Ben you can add me to the wave if you get one started on WIZIQ features as there we could have an open "Beta" team testing forum.

Just started a wave for getting feedback and bugs on Wiziq virtual application. So I picked all listed wave account in this thread and added to that wave. You can list your wave accounts here or here (http://e-teaching.wiziq.com/default.aspx?msg=s&type=det&id=189-starting-a-wave-for-wiziq-virtual-application-feedback-bugs-reporting) I will add them to Wiziq wave i started. So that you can report back your feedback/bugs.
Thanks,
Vivek.
