whatis the difference between pharmacist & doctor ?

A doctor can prescribe a particular medicine, but does not make it.

A pharmacist cannot prescribe but has the knowledge to concoct it.

I thought it was more of a prescribe vs. deliver aspect. My sister is a pharmacist and yes she checks what medicines can work with each other, but I am not fully convinced they can make or "concoct" it. The main duty is to deliver what the doctor prescribes. Otherwise, they could be the doctor and then concoct it. I think the doctor has to know more about the inner workings than the pharmacist, but the pharmacist is a buffer of knowledge in case 2 or more medicines don't work together.

I think pharmacists do prescribe medicine now.

Pharmacists know more about the drugs the Doctors prescribe. However, neither of them know herbals.

I think a doctor investigates and prescribes a medicine, but a pharmacist have the knowledge of acyion of a medicine on the affected area,thus have the knowledge of content of a medicine.Doctor can prescribe and a pharmacist can tell you the effects of medicine.
